Baking a loaf is easy and if you would like to learn how to bake your own bread,
join us for a fun day of baking, chatting, eating, and visiting the Windmill.
You’ll take home all the breads you’ve baked and the notes/recipes.
over the years we’ve had many requests for learning how we make our teacakes.
So, this course is about learning how to make enriched doughs and we’ll learn how to
bake Windmill Teacakes, bagels and a milk loaf. It will be a day of learning, baking,
chatting over a cup of tea, having a light lunch, and a guided tour of the Windmill
where the flour is milled. You’ll take home all your baked goodies and the recipes.
Classic Sponge Cakes:
flat sponge cakes have their place in the baking world and so do the well-risen ones.
Join us for a day of learning the science behind sponge cakes and learn to bake this simple
yet finicky cake to impress your family and friends’ taste buds.
We’ll also show you to make simple but effective icing that doesn’t require a rolling pin.
We’ll also provide you with refreshments and a light lunch and take you for a guided tour of the Windmill
where our flour is milled. You’ll take home the baked cakes and the recipes.
