Introduction to Sourdough baking
join the renowned baker, teacher, and author, Emmanuel Hadjiandreou to learn the science of making a sourdough starter
and sourdough breads.
Emmanuel is very familiar with our flours and how to handle them to get the best results.
In this one-day class, you will bake a sourdough loaf, a Rye sourdough, and a ciabatta loaf.
Introduction to enriched doughs/sweet bread
Emmanuel Hadjiandreou will take you through the principles of making enriched doughs and you will learn to bake
fruit buns (teacakes), hot cross buns, cinnamon buns, and a brioche loaf, using our own freshly milled flours.
Introduction to Basic Bread baking
the most affordable and nutritious loaf is the one you make at home using good quality flour. Baking a loaf is easy and
in this class you will learn how to bake your own bread, become familiar with different types of flour,
and learn all the other tips you need to make a successful loaf.
Introduction to Basic Cakes
Fari will help you learn the science behind cake making by learning to bake different types of cakes, adapt recipes,
and learn two easy types of icing. You will take the iced cakes home together with the recipes.
The fees for all the above classes include refreshments, a light lunch,
and a guided tour of the Windmill where the flour is milled.
Also, you will take home all your baked goodies and the recipes.
